sick sencentes week 10

For this weeks sick sentences we had to do nouns and adjectives. we had to use the photo of a bee and an owl. I was pretty tricky but I did it in the end. After I did it I went back to it and made somemore detail in. I think I did a supernova because I went back added some more detail.

Tennis Ball Tower Challenge

Today for our Whetu Challenge we worked in a group to build a tower out of newspaper, 2 straws and sellotape. We needed to make our tower strong enough to hold a tennis ball and be able to stand alone (not leaning on anything or needing support).

Today I worked with Xanthe & Mia

At first, we had trouble with what kind of structure we were going to do.

The easiest thing was tapeing the tape on the newspaper but sometimes it got stuck to the scissors.  

The best part of our tower was the cup holding the bottom but I think it would of stayed if it was more smaller.

Sick sentences

Today I did the sick sentences slides. I had to make very detailed sentences like instead of saying "The fish swam in the water" I had to say something more like "The fish darted through the water as other fish went by"I rate my work a SUPERNOVA!!

W8 Blog challenge (my pet)

I choose my pet cat Nala to do this because I already have a photo of her on my computer but I do have another cat called Posh but shes my aunties cat so I did the family cat, Nala. The photo I used was from 2018 was you cant see her face so i thought I could use it.

Catapult challenge

Whetu Catapult Challenge

The things that I used to make my catapult were: 8 sticks 1 spoon 4 rubber bands.

To make my catapult I worked with Amy and Bella.

The most challenging part was finding the right catapult to work with because they kept failing.

Our best results were when it went the highest it's ever gone.

Emoji blog challenge

For the emoji blog challenge I did a bored,tired emoji with its hand on its face, theres already a emoji face like this but I wanted to put the hand there to make it look like it was bored. 

Maths mystery W7 (The Mystery of the Missing Story End)

For this maths mystery, I worked with Xanthe and Mia. I was first working with myself but then I started helping Xanthe but she was working with Mia so we just ending up being in a group together. While I was crossing them off Mia was doing some clues and Xanthe was telling me who to cross off.

after crossing them off we ended up with Florence.
